Composition
1. Finish (and type!) the letter to Mr. Power Standards Task.
2. Finish VPP (vocabulary) exercise II and be ready for the test tomorrow.

1. Finish VPP (vocabulary) exercises III-V and be ready for the test tomorrow.
2. Read "The Most Dangerous Game" by Richard Connell in the Interactive Reader book up to page 14. Answer the questions on front side of the sheet.
3. Add on to your letters to Mr. Power, type them up, and turn them in on Tuesday.

English H II

2. Read The Epic of Gilgamesh books I-III.
3. Answer the following Gilgamesh questions:
1. What's wrong with Gilgamesh when we first meet him?
2. How do Enkidu and Gilgamesh go from enemies to friends? How does Enkidu change Gilgamesh?
3. Who is more heroic--Gilgamesh or Enkidu? Why? What is apparently considered heroic by the culture of the time?
4. How are female characters represented in the story?
5. Why does Gilgamesh kill Humbaba? Does Humbaba deserve to die?
6. How are Gilgamesh and Enkidu good foils of each other?
7. Was Enkidu better off as a wild animal-man out in nature, or as a more civilized man in the city (in your opinion)? Does the text agree with you?
8. What do you think about Gilgamesh as a character?
