Composition
1. Read ch. 6, "Beast from Air" (95-108).
2. Read very carefully, and draw a scene from the first two pages. On the backside, answer this question: What is the 'beast' from the air?
World Literature
1. Read "Magpies" - The last story of An-mei, Rose's mother (215-241).
2. Make an illustrated TIMELINE of the events. Include at least 7 major events, and be sure that they are in a true chronological order.
