Composition
1. Tonight and all this week - study the vocabulary for the final! Here's how to do it: On the sheet of Cornell notes where you copied down the vocab words, copy down the definition of the word from your Vocab Power Plus book. Then draw a picture that shows the definition - this will help you remember the word. Finally, make flash cards for each word with the word on one side (with the picture!) and the definition on the other side. Test yourself. Click here for the list of words.
2. GET THESE BOOKS by next week if you don't already have them:
-Mythology: Timeless Tales of Gods and Heroes by Edith Hamilton (ISBN - 9780446607254)
-Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck (ISBN - 0140177396)
Make sure you get the copy with the correct ISBN number, and visit the Required Class Texts page for more information.
3. Optional - Continue reading "The Scarlet Ibis" by James Hurst starting on p. 342 in the Holt textbook. Questions 1-6 on p. 356.
