2. Of Mice and Men project.
English H II
1. Get No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre.
2. Work on your Inferno essay. Use the rubric (with the prompt on it) to help you. Here's the prompt if you need it:
Dante Alighieri’s The Inferno was meant to be part of an allegorical tale that spoke of the redemption of sin and salvation in people’s lives. It was also meant to be political and moral commentary. That did not, however, prevent it from hugely influencing how people even today concretely think of hell and the afterlife. In a well-written essay, discuss your own views of the afterlife and how they compare and contrast with that of The Inferno. Be sure to give specific examples from Dante’s work.
3. Work on the extra credit if you'd like to. The assignment is to write an essay about an author's viewpoints on the afterlife, and what you think of what they are saying. The texts I recommend are the following:
The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis (narrative)
Love Wins by Rob Bell (expository)
